Handbagsfromitaly.co.uk features a wide variety of gorgeous Italian designed and produced handbags. Each item has been carefully selected for its individual design and style. All suppliers are genuine Italian manufacturers, with skilled craftsmen offering many years’ experience in the design and production of high quality handbags. We aim to bring you a wide range of the very latest in Italian design and style to suit your tastes.


We are the UK's number one supplier of Carbotti bags. Some of our other key Italian brands include Arcadia and the newly launched brand Ferromoda (by Lisa Coll). As our product range continues to expand, we have recently included a select range of products from the highly successful Puntotres, from Spain. The high standards of design and production meet our stringent product requirements and their products  are fantastic. We are sure that you will love their belts and accessories as much as we do.

What type of Products are available?

Our product range is constantly changing and expanding as we continually review design trends and customer feedback. For simplicity we have classified our handbags into style types to suit various uses - for example office, everyday, classic and special occasion.

Our handbag range features large, medium and small sized bags in a variety of shapes from half moon, pyramid, oblong, square, oval and even cubic.

Styles include shoulder bags, double and single handle handbags and clutch style bags. There are more structured and framed style bags, with sleek lines and chic look. There are softer slouch style bags in various designs and sizes; sleek, sophisticated clutch bags – perfect for evening or a special occasion - and practical, fun to use, bucket and satchel style bags.

The design, stitching and detailing on each handbag varies. Some are simple with clean lines; some  feature pockets in different styles and shapes; some feature lovely textural techniques such as plaiting or textured effects to the leather; others have greater detailing with edges wrapped with leather thronging or plaited areas, gathers, or tassels. Other designs include the use of quality buckles, metal rings and fittings such as studs, padlocks, and other metallic finishes.

The interior of the bags are functional with useful pouches and zip pockets and all feature high quality zips and fasteners.

Materials used for all the bags are of the highest quality. All leather bags are made from finest quality leather. Some have various finishes applied – for example high quality shiny cracked effect leather, snake and reptilian effects, textured effect firm and soft calfskin matte leather, vintage leather effect and suede.

To meet customer demand, Handbagsfromitaly also supplies a small range of fabric bags and ladies wallets from select designers. In addition, our accessory range includes a fabulous collection of ladies leather belts suitable for various occasions. What Colours are available?

You can search by colour in the navigation bar. Alternatively, when you select a handbag, it will indicate the colours available in that style.

Many bags are featured in traditional earthy tones of golden rusts, browns, taupe, mustard, burnt orange, olive green and red, whilst black still remains a popular and versatile choice too.

Lighter and brighter colours are featured for seasonal use in Spring and Summer.

For evening and special occasion events there are metallic colour bags that shimmer and glisten in silver, platinum, gold or bronze tones.

Are the products guaranteed?

All products supplied have a 6 month manufacturer’s guarantee against faults.

All our bags are truly original and display an authenticity label indicating this.

Our Aprile range features an authenticity tag and care instructions.

Our Carbotti range bears the “True Italy” tag which displays a unique code and serial number for the bag. This indicates that the bag is genuine in its origin and allows you to check out its authenticity on the True Italy website (www.trueitaly.com).

How do I choose a bag?

Choosing a handbag is a very personal thing. You need to consider your outfit, colour scheme and use for the bag. In addition, body shape can make a difference in the style you select.

Above all choose a bag that suits the occasion or use as the wrong bag can ruin a perfect outfit.

How do I store my bag?

All bags benefit from being kept dust free. Store your bag in the dust care cover provided. If the bag is not supplied with a cover, use an old plain white cotton pillow case instead. Avoid storing long term in plastic bags.

When storing, use either bubble wrap or scrunched up acid free tissue paper inside your bag, this will help keep its shape and prevent creasing or warping of shape.

If your bag has a large buckle, heavy metal fastening or chain handle, store these inside the bag if possible, as this will avoid scratching the outside leather when the bag is not in use. If this is not possible, wrap the buckle or chain in acid free tissue paper.

How do I clean my bag?

Use a damp soft white cloth to gently wipe down your bag. Do not use household cleaners, soaps or solvents on the leather.

For cleaning leather, seek advice on a good quality leather cream. However, do carry out a spot test on the leather somewhere unobtrusive first, as cleaners and cream can change the colour of the leather slightly.

How do I find the products I am looking for?

Handbagsfromitaly.co.uk is designed to be simple to use. There are several ways of browsing through the site. The products are categorised by style, colour and price as shown on the navigation bar to the left of the homepage. For ease of use, we have categorised our handbags into four categories - office, classic, everyday and special occasion. In addition, we have two further categories for belts and accessories. There are also additional sections for special offers and new additions – useful if you are a regular visitor to our site!

To view the products simply click on the image to access the item’s product page, where you will be given further product information including size, colour and price. You will also be able to view the image and additional images showing features of the product.

In some cases, we may recommend alternative products, which will be featured at the bottom of the product page.

How do I use a promotional code?

As part of our Marketing campaigns we may from time to time run special promotions. To take advantage of these, there will be a promotional code to use when placing your order. Please note that these codes are often for a limited time period; please check the details of the promotion prior to ordering.

What are the Special Offers?

Handbagsfromitaly.co.uk does from time to time feature special offers. All the products are individually selected and will vary. Please check our offers and promotions section  on the homepage. Use the keep me informed  facility to register with us and we will ensure that you are first to know about special offers and promotions.

Do you carry stock of all items featured?

Our policy at Handbagsfromitaly.co.uk is to hold stock of many different items but in small quantities, as we believe this offers an element of exclusivity to our customers. Our aim is to constantly update our site with new arrivals and to indicate items that are no longer available by removal from the site or by indicating with the words “out of stock” on the product page.

If the item is indicated as “out of stock”, it is unlikely that we will be offering that product again. However, we may make suggestions as to possible alternative products, which you are under no obligation to purchase.

Please be aware that even if the product you wish to purchase is in your “shopping basket”, it is not reserved and can be bought by another customer whilst you are browsing.

If you leave products in your shopping basket without completing your order, the items will remain there until you close your internet browser.

How do I keep informed of new items?

Our new additions section, will feature all the latest products as we update the website. Alternatively, we can email you with details.

I have seen a product I would love someone to buy me as a gift – how can I give them a hint?

You can use the recommend to a friend facility to email your loved one details of a particular product you would like them to get you for Christmas, birthday or other special occasion!

How do I make a purchase?

Using our site is easy, use the “shop by” category buttons on the navigation bar, or use key words or product codes in the search bar at the top of the page.

Once you see an item that you like, click on the image to access the product page, where you will be given more product information and details of colour, size, materials and price.

At this stage, we may also suggest other products that we think may be of interest to you, based on our customer feedback. You are of course under no obligation to buy!

If you wish to select the item for purchase, simply add the item to your shopping basket by clicking on the “add to basket” button, which places your selection into the shopping basket ready for you to complete your order.

We also offer a gift wrapping service. Should you wish to use this, please ensure that you click on the option at this stage and enter the details prior to adding the product to your shopping basket.

You will be able to view your basket to check your selections and total cost of purchases (including any gift wrapping options and delivery costs). You can amend your basket at this stage.

Please remember that at this stage, the item it is not reserved and can be bought by another customer whilst you are still browsing.

Once you have finished shopping, simply click the “proceed to checkout” button at the bottom of the shopping basket page, to begin the checkout process.

At this stage you will be asked to log in (if you have not already done so) using your email address and password. If you have not established an account with us, you will need to register at this stage in order to fulfil your order. To do this click on the “register” button.

The first stage will take you through the billing address information. You will also be asked to enter the rest of your personal information and the delivery address, which can be different to the billing address. This is useful if you prefer your items to be delivered to a neighbour or place of work, or alternatively if you are sending the item as a gift.

The next stage will provide an option to enter a gift voucher code or promotional code (if relevant). Otherwise, simply click on the “continue” button.

You will now be given a brief summary of your order, with an option to amend it. If the order details are correct click on the “confirm” button.

The next stage provides order confirmation including billing and delivery address. At this stage you are able to alter any of these. If the details are correct, click on “continue with order” button which takes you to a secure payment site where you will need to enter your credit card details. Once entered, press the “continue” button. This will activate payment from your account. Once verified, you will receive a message confirming your order transaction and quoting a unique reference number. Please print this off as this is your receipt. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address you have used in the registration process.

How do I see what I have placed in my shopping basket?

You can check the details of items placed in your shopping basket at any time whilst using the website. Simply click the “view basket” icon at the top right of the screen. This will provide product description, image, price and gift wrap options (if selected) and total cost. You will also have the option to proceed to checkout or continue shopping. Simply click on the appropriate button at the bottom of the page.

A summary of the number of items you have added to the basket and the price will also be displayed on the top of the homepage screen.

Once you have progressed to the shopping basket, you can hold the products in the basket until you are ready to place your order. Please note that at this stage, the products have not been assigned to you as the order process has not been completed. It is therefore possible for another customer to purchase the products.

If you leave products in your shopping basket without completing your order, the items will remain there until you close down your internet browser.

How do I remove something from my shopping basket?

You can review the items in your shopping basket prior to ordering, by clicking on the “view basket” link at the top of the homepage. You are also able to delete an item from your shopping basket, by clicking on the “delete” button next to the product. In addition, you can change the quantity of an item ordered. To do this, alter the number in the box and click on the “change quantity" button.

To resume shopping after viewing your shopping basket, click on the “continue shopping” button.

If you do not proceed to check out before you log out of the site, your selections will remain in the shopping basket for viewing until your internet browser is closed down.

Can I store products to view later?

You can hold products in your shopping basket short term without proceeding to the purchasing process. However, once you have closed down your internet browser, these will be lost.

My favourites allows you to store details of items that you like indefinitely. Information held includes product information, photo, price and availability. You have the option to delete the item from your favourites listing at any time. In addition, you can email the details to a friend. Should you wish to proceed with a purchase, you can click on the product image which will take you back to the product page where you can begin the purchasing process.

Please note that you will need to register with the site to use My Favourites  facility.

Registering on the site

Registration is necessary when you make your first purchase as we will require certain personal data from you in order to process your order.

It is not necessary to register with the site for general viewing and browsing. However, we do recommend registering with us as this will enable us to keep you advised of any new products or to supply you with up to date information or special offers and promotions. In addition, it will allow you to have full functionality of the site, such as using My Favourites.

To register on the site, please go to log in/out button at the top of the page and select the “register” button. You will need to provide an email address and create your own password. Remember to tick the permission box. Please note that no purchase is necessary for this.

Do I need to sign in and out of the site on each visit?

Although it is not necessary for you to log in each time you visit the site, we do advise that you do so as this will enable you to have full functionality of the site – including access to the my account feature, where you can view favourites, order history etc. This will also speed up the time taken to place your order, as we will already know your address and payment details. To do this, simply click on the “login/out” button at the top of the homepage and enter your email address and password.

We also advise that you ensure that you sign out of the site after use, particularly if you share a computer. To do this, simply click on the “log in/out” button at the top of the homepage and select the “log out” button.

How do I create an account?

When you place your first order we will require you to complete the registration process. This stores your information on our secure server. We will need you to provide some personal information, including your email address so that we can confirm your order details and notify you when your order has been despatched. We will also ask you to create a password.

To do this, go to the log in/out button at the top of the page and click on the “register” button.

Can I change my password details for my account?

It is possible to change your password details for your account, by clicking on the “my account” button at the top of the screen. Once you have signed in, you can click on “change details”. Please note that you will need to be logged onto the site to do this.

What happens if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password, go to the log in/out button at the top of the page and then select the "forgot your password" option. You will need to enter your email address. You will then be sent an email with your password.

What is the My Account section for?

This is a really useful facility that allows you to check your favourites, view previous orders and change your personal registration details, including your email address and password. You need to register with us in order to utilise this function.

Do You Offer Gift Vouchers?

As a service to our clients we offer gift vouchers for use on our site. The vouchers start at £10 up to £150 and can be used as full or part payment for goods purchased on our site. Please note that there is not a cash equivalent. Vouchers or cash can not be given for any balance remaining. The vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.

To order a voucher, click onto the gift voucher icon on the left hand navigation bar. You can then select the value of voucher you wish to purchase.

At this stage you will be asked to enter the name of the recipient.

The rest of the purchase process is the same as for any other product. Please remember, should you wish the voucher to be delivered directly to the recipient, you must put the recipient’s address down in the delivery details section. The voucher will be delivered by first class post. The invoice will be sent to you at the billing address.

I have received a gift voucher, how do I use it?

The gift voucher will have its value indicated on the front. To use the voucher, simply select a product in the normal way and proceed to check out. At this stage a screen appears giving the option to enter a promotional code. You should use this space to input the unique code on your voucher.

The check out screen will give details of your order and will indicate if there is a balance due on your order. You will then proceed through the normal purchasing process and if necessary input your credit card details.

Please note that credit vouchers and refunds can not be issued on any balance outstanding from the use of your gift voucher. In addition, the voucher is valid for 6 months from date of purchase – this is clearly indicated on the voucher.

Can I send my online order as a gift?

You can arrange to send an ordered item as a gift. Please indicate the delivery address for this during the ordering process. 

Do you offer a gift wrapping service?

During the ordering process, you will have the option to select our gift wrapping service by ticking the appropriate box. This will enable you to supply a gift card with the item and you can type in the message for the gift card.

The message should be no more than 25 characters long.

The items will be sent in  tissue and wrapping paper with matching ribbon.

If you would prefer to give the gift yourself, you can still select the gift wrapping service and we will include a blank gift card for you to complete yourself.

This service is an optional extra and is charged at £3.95 per item.

Please note that if the gift item is subsequently returned, we are unable to refund this charge.

I’m sending an item as a gift – where will the invoice be sent?

Please note that the invoice for the goods will be sent to the billing address.

How do I pay for my order?

You can pay online by credit or debit card.

At the final stage of the ordering process, you will be asked to enter your payment details. Once this is done and you click the “continue” button, your card will be debited.

All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.

If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of goods.

Which Credit or debit cards are accepted online?

You can pay for your order online using Visa Credit; MasterCard; Visa Debit; Visa Electron; Switch; Solo and JCB.

Is it safe for me to give my personal and credit card details online?

Our site is as secure as we can make it.

All credit card transactions on this site are processed using Barclaycard Merchant Services, who provide a secure online payment gateway which encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. Your credit card details are not held on the website.

This encrypts and protects the data you send to us over the internet. Further security information can be found within your browser. How do I know that you have received my order?

Once the credit card has been approved and the delivery address verified, your order will be accepted and the item shipped. At this stage you will receive an email notifying you that your order has been accepted and giving you a unique order number and key information of your order eg purchase and delivery details, prices, and any other pertinent information such as gift wrapping. This email should be kept and printed off as a record.

Can you deliver to a different address?

During the checkout process, you will be asked to select the delivery address for your order. This can be different to the billing address. Should you wish to make purchases to send to several different locations, you will need to place separate orders for each address you wish to send to.

How long will my order take to deliver?

We endeavour to despatch all orders within 48 hours. However, please allow up to 7 days for delivery, as external factors may cause delays.

Your order will be shipped once payment has been approved and the delivery and billing address have been verified.

How much will delivery cost?

Delivery costs will vary, dependent on the weight, size and destination of your goods.

How will the goods be packaged?

All orders will be despatched in secure cartons. If you would like to send your purchase as a gift, you will have the option to select our gift wrapping service during the order processing.

Are the goods insured?

All merchandise in transit from Handbagsfromitaly.co.uk to the delivery address is insured against theft and accidental damage. Once the merchandise has been delivered to the specified address and signed for, the merchandise is no longer covered by insurance.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

We are able to deliver to locations outside of the UK, but will provide delivery costs and timescales by email to you prior to processing your order. In such cases you will be liable for any taxes, duties or additional costs incurred in shipping goods to you.

Will I have to sign for my delivery?

Delivery will be by courier or registered mail between 8 am and 6pm Monday to Friday and will require a signature. Any delivery timescales quoted to you are indicative only. We do however aim to deliver within 2-5 working days.

If possible, please provide us with a delivery address where there will be somebody available to sign for your parcel.

In the event that there isn’t anyone available when the courier calls, they will leave a card giving details of how to rearrange delivery or collection.

We are currently only able to offer this service to deliveries made in the UK, due to customs restrictions.

Can I cancel my order after it’s been placed?

You can cancel your order at any time prior to despatch. Please email us immediately at: sales@handbagsfromitaly.co.uk notifying us of your intention to cancel. If the goods have not been despatched, we will arrange a refund to your card and notify you by email.

Once you have received your order you still have the right to cancel within 7 working days. Please follow the returns procedure detailed in our Returns Policy.

Can I return my online order?

We always make a great effort to process orders immediately and it may not be possible to cancel and stop an order from being despatched. In this instance, please email us at: returns@handbagsfromitaly.co.uk giving your full order details and order number, stating that it is your intention to cancel your order.

In this instance, the goods must be returned to us within a period of 7 days of receiving the goods. The goods must be returned in 100% saleable condition, ie with all labels, tags and original packaging intact.

My order was faulty or damaged what should I do?
